Rodgers suffered broken collarbone in Monday night loss

Head coach Mike McCarthy kept details of the injury to himself Monday, when Rodgers left the game after landing on his left shoulder when taken to the ground on a sack by Chicago Bears defensive end Shea McClellin. The injury occurred on the opening drive of the game.

Seneca Wallace replaced Rodgers and was unimpressive. He rarely looked to throw the ball downfield, was sacked four times and threw an interception to defensive end Julius Peppers, who was nearly hit in the facemask on the three-step drop and quick slant throw from Wallace.

The Packers could seek to bring back Matt Flynn, who is on waivers from the Buffalo Bills until 4 p.m. ET Tuesday. Since leaving Green Bay as an unrestricted free agent, Flynn has been traded by the Seattle Seahawks and released by the Oakland Raiders and Bills in the past 18 months.

Other options include Vince Young, who was with the Packers in training camp and recently turned down a two-year CFL contract.
