Will Tony Parker play in Game 5?
Spurs play Mavs in Game 5 Wednesday at 6 p.m. at AT&T Center
San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker's status for Game 5 on Wednesday night against the Dallas Mavericks has been upgraded to probable.
The upgrade means that Parker more than likely will play.
Parker is dealing with a mild sprain on his left ankle and was considered day-to-day, Spurs coach Gregg Popovich told the media Tuesday.
Parker suffered the sprain late in the first half of the Spurs win over the Mavs on Monday to even their first-round series at 2-2.
No MRI or X-rays were planned for Parker and he kept playing following the injury, but scored a series low 10 points and had four turnovers.
Parker is only averaging 15.5 points and 4.5 assists for the series.
Patty Mills gave the Spurs a lift off the bench Monday, scoring 10 points with two assists and two steals. Mills had just 12 points total in the first three games of the series.
