SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio Spurs guard Manu Ginobili has suffered an injury that will more than likely prevent him from playing on the Argentina team in the FIBA Basketball World Cup in Spain this summer, Yahoo Sports reported Wednesday.

Ginobili, 36, has a stress fracture in his right leg that was discovered in his exit physical with the Spurs, sources told Yahoo Sports. The injury appeared to have developed late in the season.

Ginobili plans to get a second medical opinion before proceeding, sources said.

The Spurs guard would take about two months to recover and should be ready for the start of Spurs training camp in late September, the report stated.
