Kawhi Leonard was the only starter expected to travel with the team, but would most likely not play very much.

The game against the Suns will give the coaching staff a good look at several young and new players trying to make the opening day roster.

The Spurs currently have 19 players on their training camp roster. The roster will have to be trimmed down to 15 before the start of the regular season.

Tipoff is at 9 p.m. CT from Talking Stick Resort Arena.

The Spurs next preseason game is at home against Atlanta on Oct. 8.
