Steele falls to DeSoto in state final in Arlington

Steele loses in Class 6A Division II state final

ARLINGTON, Texas – The Steele Knights have fallen to the DeSoto Eagles in today's Class 6A Division II state championship game.

The final score was Steele 29 and DeSoto 38. The game was played at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.

The Knights were down 28-10 at halftime, but battled back in the second half to make it a close game in the fourth quarter.

Steele finishes its season at 14-2. This was the Knights' third appearance in the state championship game.

Steele won in 2010 and was vying for a second state title for the Cibolo school.
