SAN ANTONIO – The Seguin High School boys basketball team used a wild, half-court buzzer beater shot Tuesday night to defeat Austin Lanier in the state playoffs.

Video of the shot and the Matadors' dramatic 71-68 bi-district win made the rounds on social media.

Video shot by Seguin Gazette Sports Editor Marcel Louis-Jacques shows Seguin’s Mark Garcia stealing the ball from a Lanier player on the game’s final possession, picking it up and launching it from beyond half-court.

Garcia hits the shot and is surrounded by his teammates and coaches.
