SAN ANTONIO – The Spurs announced Thursday that six players will not make the trip to Dallas for Friday night’s game against the Mavericks.

Manu Ginobili and Danny Green will miss the game because of quad contusions while Dejounte Murray remains out with a left groin injury.

Kawhi Leonard, Pau Gasol and LaMarcus Alridge will sit out for rest purposes.

The Spurs are locked into the No. 2 seed for the upcoming Western Conference Playoffs with four regular season games remaining.

San Antonio can no longer get the No. 1 seed after its loss to the Lakers combined with Golden State’s win over Phoenix on Wednesday night.

The Spurs' first-round playoff opponent will most likely be Memphis. The Grizzlies are in seventh place in the conference and barring a late season collapse will stay in that position.

The Spurs final regular season home game will be Saturday against the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Spurs could play something closer to its full roster in an effort to get a final tuneup against a playoff contender.

San Antonio closes the regular season at Portland on Monday and at Utah on Wednesday. The NBA playoffs begin the weekend of April 15-16.
