Spurs set for primetime showdown with Clippers

Spurs expected to have most of roster versus Clippers Saturday night at 7:30

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Spurs (61-18) will play their final home game of the regular season Saturday night when they host the Los Angeles Clippers (48-31).

The Spurs announced Saturday morning Danny Green will be questionable as he nurses that contusion.

The Spurs are coming off a come from behind win over the Dallas Mavericks Friday night and they did it with just eight players.

Nine players actually suited up by Tony Parker never got in the game.

The Spurs left LaMarcus Aldridge, Kawhi Leonard Pau Gasol, Danny Green, Manu Ginobil at home and still managed the big win over the Mavericks 102-89.

Bryn Forbes lead the way for the Spurs with a career high 27 points and he didn't even start.

He played 29 minutes and was 10-19 including hitting 4 out of 9 three's. Davis Bertans was the second leading scorer with 19.

After hosting the Clippers, the Spurs finish up the regular season on the road with a game in Portland on Monday night and then the season Finale in Utah against the Jazz on Wednesday.

The Clippers come to town lead the series two games to one over the Spurs.

Unlike the Spurs, the Clippers are in a fight for playoff position.

They are currently in fifth place in the West, a half game behind the Utah Jazz for the fourth playoff spot and home court advantage in the first round of the playoffs.

The Clippers are on a four game winning streak.
