SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich may have made a waiter's night in Memphis during the team's latest road trip by leaving an extravagant tip at local restaurant.

According to a post by a NBA Reddit user and multiple reports, the 5-time champion NBA head coach left a $5,000 tip on an $815.73 bill at McEwen's, a Memphis restaurant, on the day before his team lost to the Grizzlies in Game 4 of the first-round playoff series.

The user tweeted out an image of the receipt, claiming it was left by Popovich.

The restaurant however would not say if Popovich had recently dined there, and neither the Spurs nor Popovich have released a statement.

The Spurs defeated the Memphis Grizzlies 116-103 in Game 5 on Wednesday night to take a 3-2 lead in the series.
