Spurs unveil interactive 'Viva Coyote!' mural at Main Plaza

Piece created by local artists Nik Soupe, Shek Vega of Los Otros Murals

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Spurs unveiled a second Spurs 2017 playoffs interactive mural on Thursday at San Fernando in Main Plaza.

The mural, titled "¡Viva Coyote!," features the Spurs mascot with a Fiesta San Antonio motif.

It was created by San Antonio artists Nik Soupe and Shek Vega of Los Otros Murals.

The pair’s first interactive mural, titled "Soy 210," is in the plaza level of the AT&T Center.

Both murals feature a unique digital animation design element that comes to life when viewed through the augmented reality app EyeJack.

The Spurs Coyote, members of the Silver Dancers, Team Energy, DJ Quake and in-arena announcer Chuck Cureau were all part of Thursday’s unveiling.

The mural is expected to be on display at Main Plaza through the summer.
