SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich said Saturday morning Dejounte Murray will make his second consecutive playoff start when the Spurs play Houston in Game 4 Sunday at the Toyota Center.

Murray was a surprise starter for Game 3 in the wake of Tony Parker’s season-ending injury.

During the regular season, Murray played well when Parker was out of the lineup, but he was injured toward the end of the season and missed 17 games before returning for the regular season finale.

He had not played in four of the Spurs' eight playoff games before Game 3 against Houston.

Murray played 14 minutes and scored only two points, but the rookie allowed San Antonio to keep its rotation and bring Patty Mills off the bench.

Mills played a majority of the minutes at the point guard position and scored 15 points.

Murray said during Saturday’s media session he could tell it was a different atmosphere, but he’s been told by Popovich all season to be ready to go at any time and his Spurs teammates have encouraged him throughout the season.

The Spurs won Game 3 103-92 behind big games from Kawhi Leonard and LaMarcus Aldridge, who both scored 26 points. San Antonio has a 2-1 series lead and regained home court advantage.
