Scholar Athlete: Miranda Rich, McCollum

SAN ANTONIO – What are you most excited about for your senior year and why?
I am most excited about all of the senior festivities that are coming up such as prom and graduation.

What drives you to be successful in the classroom and in your particular sport?
Getting a scholarship to a University is my number one drive for all my school related activities.

How do you balance homework, participation in sports and spending time with family and friends?
I try and finish my school work first so the rest of my time is dedicated to my training and my family time.

How do you want to be remembered at school once you graduate?
I want to be remembered as someone that younger athletes aspire to be like and also as a good role model for the upcoming high schoolers

Where do you want to attend college, major in and why?
I am undecided as of where I would like to attend college but my major would most likely be Kinesiology since I would like become a head volleyball coach at a high school.

If you could have one super hero power, what would it be and why?
If I had the chance of choosing a superpower, I would for sure want to be able to read people's minds so that I would be able to crush a job interview and give the employer exactly what they want to hear.

If you could take any athlete or celebrity to your senior prom, who would it be and why?
I would want to take Barack Obama to prom because I feel like not many people would ever get the chance to say they took a past leader of the free world to a school function.
