Spurs assign 2 players to development league

Davis Bertans, rookie Derrick White to work with Austin Spurs

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday announced that they have sent two players to the Austin Spurs of the NBA Development League.

Sharpshooting 6'10 forward Davis Bertans and rookie guard Derrick White will work with the team during its training camp that is being held in San Antonio at the Spurs practice facility.

Bertans has seen limited court time so far this season, averaging 2.3 points and 1.3 rebounds in 7.8 minutes.

White, the team's 2017 first round draft pick out of the University of Colorado, has appeared in just three games for San Antonio scoring just one point.

White saw the floor for his most extensive action against Orlando, playing 12 minutes and grabbing three rebounds while also dishing out two assists.
