SAN ANTONIO – What are you most excited about for your senior year and why?
The thing I'm most excited about for my senior year is making memories with my friends and enjoying one last ride with my teammates.
What drives you to be successful in the classroom and in your particular sport?
The thing that drives me most is that the way I act and behave in the classroom will show out on the court or track. If I have a positive and motivated mindset when it comes to my school work, then the same will reflect in my athletic ability.
How do you balance homework, participation in sports and spending time with family and friends?
It's really difficult to balance these out equally, but I have good time management when it comes to things that are important or needed to be done. But I also know that my life shouldn't be all work, so I do make time for fun with my friends and those close to me.
How do you want to be remembered at school once you graduate?
I would love to be remembered as a leader who was able to not only be there for their teammates whenever they needed, but who also was able to bring focus back to the team.
Where do you want to attend college, major in and why?
I would love to attend Columbia University in New York because they have an amazing engineering program and along with the beautiful city, I feel I will be able to experience lots of new things.
If you could have one superhero power, what would it be and why?
If I could have one superpower it would probably be speed. I'm a big fan of the Flash, and how he runs around helping people. But he can also do a lot of cool things, so I feel like I'd have the most fun with that power.
If you could take any athlete or celebrity to your senior prom, who would it be and why?
I would probably take Usain Bolt because I would love to talk to him about his time in the Olympics and all of the races and trials he had to go through. We would never have a quiet moment because I have so many questions and I am a huge fan of his, so it would be a fun-filled night.
