SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio Spurs' forward Kawhi Leonard is reportedly aiming to make his season debut on Tuesday against the Dallas Mavericks.

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski said Leonard is targeting a Tuesday comeback.

Leonard has missed the entirety of the 2017-2018 season due to an injury on his right quadriceps.

Last week, Bill Schoening, the radio play-by-play voice of the Spurs, posted on Twitter that head coach Gregg Popovich said Leonard has had two practice sessions of 5-on-5, but the team is still erring on the side of caution because Leonard is too valuable to bring back early.

The 5-on-5 practices are significant because it’s the same rehabilitation step Tony Parker took right before he made his way back onto the court.

Parker made his season debut on Monday and said he practiced with Leonard, and Kawhi has “been looking good.”
