The San Antonio Spurs 2017-18 season came to an end on Tuesday night following a hard-fought 99-91 loss to the Golden State Warriors in Game 5 of their first round NBA playoffs series.

LaMarcus Aldridge finished with 30 points, 25 points in second half, as the Spurs lost the best-of-seven series 4-1. Patty Mills scored 18 points for San Antonio.

Manu Ginobili added 10 points and seven assists in what could be the final game of his career.

Ginobili said after the game he would take up to a month or two to decide whether he wants to return for a 17th season with San Antonio.

San Antonio fought hard throughout Game 5 and cut lead to 93-91 with less than a minute remaining after trailing by as many as 15 points in the second half.

Kevin Durant scored the next basket for the Warriors, which scored the final six points of the game.

The Spurs enter the offseason with several questions. The largest being the status of all-star Kawhi Leonard and his standing with the franchise.

Leonard played in only nine games this season for the Spurs.
