SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio Spurs jerseys will look slightly different this season.
The team announced Wednesday that it entered into a multi-year marketing partnership with Frost Bank that will place the Frost Bank logo on the front of the Spurs jersey, making Frost Bank the first-ever jersey sponsor of the Spurs.
A rendering of the upcoming season's jerseys show the bank's signature sunburst logo placed near the top left of the garment.
The jerseys will be worn when the Spurs take the court Sept. 30 against the Miami Heat. Officials with the Silver and Black said that they would unveil the jerseys prior to the start of the preseason.
The bank, which is headquartered in San Antonio, is in the process of constructing a new high-rise building downtown that will embed itself into the city's iconic skyline.
Frost Bank and the Spurs have been in partnership since 1973 when Tom C. Frost financed the team's move to San Antonio, according to a news release.
