High school football season kicks off tonight with annual Gucci Bowl
Boerne Champion-Stevens also part of opening night
SAN ANTONIO – The 2018 high school football season kicks off tonight with a slate of games that features the annual Gucci Bowl between neighborhood rivals Clark and Churchill.
Clark will look to end its eight-game losing streak to the Chargers, with kickoff set for 7 p.m. at Comalander Stadium.
Both teams missed the playoffs last season and will look to begin the new campaign on a positive note.
The other game to feature area schools is between Boerne Champion and Stevens. Champion defeated the Falcons 33-14 last season.
The Highlands Owls will kick off their season by hosting Corpus Christi Miller at Alamo Stadium.
Tonight is just a taste of what’s expected to be another exciting year.
More than 60 games will be played in Week 1 that feature San Antonio and surrounding area schools.
