SAN ANTONIO – Fans who want to say good-bye to former San Antonio Spurs guard Danny Green before he heads off to Toronto will have their chance this upcoming weekend.

True North S.A. is holding a sendoff Sept. 16 from 1-2 p.m. at their apparel and sneaker store located at 332 Sunset Road, suite 7.

Known for perimeter defense and three-point shooting, Green has been a key contributor on both ends of the floor throughout his NBA career and was selected to the NBA All-Defensive Second Team in the 2016–17 season. He won a championship with San Antonio in 2014.

Green played eight total seasons with the Spurs and has averaged 8.8 points and 3.4 rebounds for his career.

Both Danny Green and forward Kawhi Leonard were traded to the NBA's Toronto Raptors during the offseason for all-star guard DeMar DeRozan and center Jakob Poeltl as part of a major revamping of the Spurs' roster.
