8-year-old in woeful viral video meets Astros after being scolded by fellow fan

HOUSTON – Chloe Beaver is an 8-year-old Astros fan who went viral last month following a scolding from a stranger at a baseball game.

The good news — she’s making headlines again this week after meeting her beloved Astros.

"I got to meet Chloe today and she is such a sweetheart! I am very excited she will be cheering us on Friday,” tweeted Astros pitcher Lance McCullers Jr.

The Houston Astros also tweeted several photos of Chloe and her family at Minute Maid Park on Tuesday with several of the players, including Alex Bregman and Marwin Gonzalez.

All of this follows a viral video showing a woman chastising the girl for cheering.

Chloe’s mother, Monica Beaver, posted a video to Facebook showing a woman turning around from the row in front of the family and telling Chloe, “Enough.”

"I didn't realize what was said and my daughter wouldn't tell us. I didn't even realize I got it on video until after I posted it and someone else told me. Trust me, after realizing this morning I was crushed because I obviously should’ve known,” Beaver wrote as part of an edited post.

Beaver said Chloe suffers from disruptive mood dysregulation disorder, which means she doesn’t comprehend emotions greater than those of a toddler.

Chloe’s got some big reasons to cheer now!
