Big Game Coverage Road Trip: Week 7 Preview

SOUTH TEXAS – This week’s run will take place on Friday the 13th, which is considered an unlucky day in Western superstition, but that won’t stop us from running around South Texas for the Big Game Coverage Road Trip!

Game 1: Rogers Eagles (3-2) at Comfort Bobcats (1-4). The District 13-3A II opener for both. Comfort is fresh off a bye-week and its first win of the season, 20-12 versus Brady. The Bobcats said that win boosted their confidence heading into district play. Rogers dropped its final non-district game two weeks ago.

Kickoff is 7:30 p.m. Friday at Bobcat Stadium in Comfort.

Game 2: Marble Falls Mustangs (2-3, 0-2 District 26-5A) versus Boerne Champion Chargers (2-3, 1-1 District 26-5A). Both teams have struggled at times on defense, with the Mustangs allowing an average of 28 points per game and the Chargers 29 per contest. Both schools enjoyed a district-wide bye last week, allowing them to address their defensive woes.

Kick is 7:30 p.m. Friday at Boerne ISD Stadium.

Game 3: Austin St. Dominic Savio Eagles (1-4) at T.M.I. Panthers (2-4). TAPPS Independent District opener for both teams. The Panthers have lost three straight while the Eagles fell last week, so both will be hungry for the win.

Rhe game is set for Friday, 7:30 p.m. at Howell Field on the T.M.I. campus.
