Scholar Athlete: Victor Castillo, St. Anthony

What are you most excited about for your senior year and why?
I am excited to graduate high school and start my college career.

What drives you to be successful in the classroom and in your particular sport?
I am driven to do well in school so that I may get into the University of Notre Dame. Being well-rounded, such as participating in extracurricular activities and having excellent grades are what universities look for in a student.

How do you balance homework, participation in sports and spending time with family and friends?
I have to prioritize myself. Time management is everything. Whenever I have spare time I have to finish homework and once that is done I can spend time with family and friends which is a very limited amount of time.

How do you want to be remembered at school once you graduate?
I want to be remembered as someone who had a positive impact on the people around me. Someone who was always there to help and you could depend on to get things done.

Where do you want to attend college, major in and why?
I want to attend the University of Notre Dame in Indiana. I intend to major in mechanical or chemical engineering. I chose this because both of my parents attended Notre Dame and I would like to follow in their footsteps.

If you could have one superhero power, what would it be and why?
I would like to have the power of teleportation. It would be so convenient to be able to go wherever I want whenever I want. This would also save so much time allowing me to get more work done.

If you could take any athlete or celebrity to your senior prom, who would it be and why?
I would take Gal Gadot because she is Wonder Woman!
