SAN ANTONIO – Robert Horry was a part of two NBA championship teams in San Antonio and hit one of the greatest shots in Spurs playoff history in the 2005 Finals, but he may be the most disliked former Spurs player today after the comments he made Monday afternoon about Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili on ESPN.

Horry was a guest on ESPN’s "The Jump” and was taking part in a segment about the greatest duos in NBA history.

Horry discussed his time with the Lakers, where he won three titles and then his early playing days with the Houston Rockets when he won two championships. This is where the discussion turned to the two Spurs icons.

Horry talked about Rockets great Hakeem Olajuwon and compared him to Duncan, saying Olajuwon was “20 times better” than Duncan.

That got an immediate reaction from the panel, which included another former Spurs player, Stephen Jackson, and 10-time NBA all-star Paul Pierce.

Horry’s explanation for why Olajuwon was better than Duncan included a comparison of the two players free throw shooting abilities. He then called out Manu Ginobili. Here's part of the back and forth.

Horry: "What Dream (Olajuwon) brought to the game is amazing. I don’t think people understand how good Olajuwon was because, here’s the thing…I always tell people to judge a player by what they can not do. Who would you want at the free throw line at the end of the game, Dream or Tim Duncan?”

Jackson: “Tim Duncan.”

Horry: “You go with 85 percent or you going to go with 70 percent from the free throw line?”

Pierce: “Listen, Dream was awesome. Dream was awesome, unbelievable. But he was not 20 times better than Tim Duncan.”

Horry: “I'm saying that because you don’t want Tim on the free throw line at the end of the game if you are down. You do not want him on the free throw line.”

Pierce: “Dream is lucky Jordan retired. You would only have five rings if Jordan didn’t retire.”

Horry: “Let me just say this: You got yours because if Manu Ginobili would have did the things he was supposed to do, we would of had, I would have had like ten championships, you know what I’m saying?”

Jackson: "You can’t get anymore, you don’t have any more fingers.”

Horry wrapped up the segment by saying it’s "all fun and games," and he just felt Olajuwon did not get enough credit for his accomplishments in the NBA, to which Pierce agreed.
