SAN ANTONIO – Tony Parker made his long-awaited return to the Spurs lineup on Monday, and unfortunately head coach Gregg Popovich did not stick around to see all of it.

Popovich was ejected in the first half of the Spurs 115-108 win over the Mavericks on Monday night at the AT&T Center.

Videos posted on social media after the ejection showed what appeared to be Popovich shouting expletives toward the referees before he walked off the court.

Popovich became upset in the second quarter when the referees gave Dallas possession after a loose ball bounced off a Mavericks player.

Video replays showed the Spurs should have received possession, and the officials missed the call.

Popovich screamed at an official, "open your eyes," and received a technical foul. He continued to yell at the referees and received his second technical.

LaMarcus Aldridge was part of the play in question and was asked if he thought Popovich deserved the pair of technical fouls.

"Too quick, I thought it was kind of quick, but it is what it is,” Aldridge said. "It was a tough call that the guy (referee) made before then, so it was a few things in a row.”

Popovich now has four technical fouls and two ejections this season.
