SAN ANTONIO – Tim Duncan has made occasional appearances at Spurs practices in the first year of his retirement, but has not said much of anything to the media until Friday.

Duncan walked up to the assembled media at the Spurs practice facility and pretended as if he was going to share a few thoughts, but instead just said, “is there a bathroom back there?,” and then walked off the practice floor into another room at the facility.

The prank got a big laugh from everyone at practice and was a lighter moment for a Spurs team down 0-2 to Golden State in the Western Conference Finals.

Duncan's presence at practice has been a welcome sight throughout the season.

The players and Duncan’s former teammates seem to respond to him and head coach Gregg Popovich has said in the past Duncan is a familiar face who is always welcome at the facility.
