SAN ANTONIO – Houston Texans' top draft-pick Deshaun Watson will make his first career start at quarterback versus the Cincinnati Bengals, an ESPN source reports.
Watson, a rookie out of Clemson, played the second half in the Texans' season-opening loss versus Jacksonville, going 12-of-23 for 102 yards with a touchdown and an interception.

It was Watson who led the team for the Texans' only points of their opener, throwing a 4-yard scoring pass to wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins after leading the team down the field.

Original starter Tom Savage was 7-of-13 for 62 yards and was sacked six times before being benched.
Savage's agent on Wednesday spoke harshly about the team for his benching in the Week 1 loss.
ESPN reports that Watson has taken the first-team reps this week at practice.
