Max Massey is the Good Morning San Antonio weekend anchor and a general assignments reporter during the week. Max has been live at some of the biggest national stories out of Texas in recent years, including the shooting at Sutherland Springs First Baptist Church, Hurricane Harvey and the manhunt for the Austin bomber in Pflugerville. When he isn’t working alongside Stephanie Serna and Sarah Spivey on GMSA Saturdays and Sundays, Max has a passion for education and the continued progression of schools in and around the Alamo City. Every spring, Max works with school districts in our area to highlight students who have gone above and beyond expectations, some who have overcome seemingly insurmountable obstacles in our Great Graduates segment (https://www.ksat.com/education/2019/03/01/nominate-your-great-graduates-for-a-chance-to-be-featured-on-gmsa/) He is from the suburbs of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, by way of North Platte and Lincoln, Nebraska. Outside of work, Max follows politics and sports closely, especially Penn State, his alma mater, and Philadelphia sports teams. Before arriving in San Antonio, Max covered topics ranging from the 2016 election, Nebraska legislation and the Keystone Oil Pipeline to Nebraska Huskers football and the rise of the Nebraska startup and tech community.
