Now visitors can utilize the routes identified by official documents from The Alamo to Mission Espada. Development of the website began in 2011.

“It takes you through a virtual tour of the 80-plus historic sites along the trails with an interactive map that shows a photograph and had the history of the site,” said OHP Director Shanon Miller.

Created in 1993 the Mission Trails hike-and-bike system has provided access to the missions. Now with the web component officials are hoping visitors enjoy a new way to rediscover the historic sites.
