House Republicans are looking to set up a commission to study violence and riots staged by Antifa, and say the government has ignored this violence for too long.

Mayor of Washington, DC, Muriel Bowser testified that Jan. 6, 2021, "intelligence failures" resulted from the belief the rioters loved police.

Riots broke out in several Belgian and Dutch cities after Morocco’s 2-0 upset win over Belgium at the World Cup Sunday. Police detained about a dozen people after they deployed water cannons and fire tear gas to disperse crowds in Brussels and eight more in the Northern city of Antwerp. Two police officials were injured in the Dutch port city of Rotterdam.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy Friday refused to acknowledge the special committee to investigate the Jan. 6 riots that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced she would create on Thursday.

1968: Riots erupt at the 1968 DNC in Chicago to protest the war and the Lincoln Park curfew that hindered the protesting. There were 50 people injured and 150 arrested. A CBS camera man was among the injured.
