Weston Urban opens downtown park next to Frost Tower

Local development group Weston Urbanโs downtown park next to Frost Tower is now open to the public. Weston Urban recently hired San Antonio native David Robinson Jr., the son of former Spurs center and NBA Hall of Famer David Robinson, as its director of parks and recreation to oversee the park. Weston Urban President Randy Smith told reporters Tuesday that while the pandemic changed how people utilize urban spaces, it wonโt stop the need for development in the downtown core. Robinsons team up for big assist to Spurs Give
SAN ANTONIO โ David Robinson Jr. has grown up before our eyes. His proud father, โThe Admiralโ David Robinson, carried him around the Hemisfair Arena back in 1998. Now, 22 years later, the two are teaming up with the charitable arm of the Spurs organization -- Spurs Give -- to help the city of San Antonio recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. โThe Spurs are in a unique position to really bring people together," David Jr. said. Itโs a small example of how quickly and efficiently the city of San Antonio has responded to the pandemic.
