SAN ANTONIO – A driver is in critical condition after he plowed his car into a brick wall on the side of a bridge, San Antonio police said Thursday.
The accident occurred just before 11:30 p.m. on the city's Southeast Side.
Police said the driver of a van was speeding on Interstate 37 going North when he lost control and went down an embankment, crashing into a brick wall near Southeast Military Drive.
Firefighters worked at the scene to get the man from his vehicle. The man was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center for his injuries.
There is no word if the driver will face any charges.
