SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police said the driver of an 18-wheeler fell asleep at the wheel, crashing his cab into a wall early Monday morning.
The accident occurred around 4:30 a.m. on the eastbound lanes of Loop 1604 near Blanco Road on the city's North Side.

The driver was taken to North Central Baptist Hospital with a cut on his arm.
Officials at the scene said it took about an hour for crews to finally get the 18-wheeler off the road.
The road has since reopened.
