All Lanes of Interstate 35 in San Marcos have reopened following an 18-wheeler accident.
All northbound lanes of Interstate 35 in San Marcos will be closed for the next two hours as emergency crews work to clean a 18-wheeler crash on the overpass by Highway 80.
Motorists are asked to exit at Highway 80 or use Highway 21 as an alternate route.
The city of San Marcos website says one of the trailers the semi was pulling struck the center wall of the interstate around 2:35 a.m. The crash knocked over a light pole that damaged a car in one of the southbound lanes and briefly caused a lane closure.
The driver of the semi was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
The website says the San Marcos fire department hazmat team is presently cleaning spilled fuel from the truck.
