SAPD: Suspected DWI driver causes several wrecks, hits pedestrian

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are investigating a driver who they said caused a crash on the city’s North Side.

The driver ran a red light at North St. Mary's Street near east Dewey Place just before 3:30 a.m. Sunday, police said.

The driver hit four parked cars and a pedestrian. The pedestrian was taken to Metropolitan Hospital to get checked out.

Police are investigating whether the driver had been drinking.
