SAN ANTONIO – A Bexar County sheriff’s deputy is recovering after he suffered minor injuries in car accident Monday night.
The deputy had stopped a car for speeding in the 6800 block of Enrique Barrerra Highway when his patrol unit was hit by another car.

The accident occurred around 7:30 p.m.
The vehicle that hit the deputy’s is believed to be stolen.
Officials at the scene said the deputy’s foot was run over, but he did not go to a hospital.
The driver who was initially pulled over now faces drug charges. The driver who hit the deputy was also arrested.
