SAN ANTONIO – An 18-year-old girl was hit by a pickup truck as she ran across the street, San Antonio police said Tuesday.
The accident occurred just before 9:30 p.m. in the 1800 block of Horal Street, found on the city's West Side.
Witnesses told police that a dark colored truck drove off after hitting the woman.
Two hours later, the driver of the pickup truck turned herself in to police.
Police said the teen was not in a crosswalk when she was hit.
The driver faces charges of failing to stop and render aid.
The victim was taken to University hospital.
The investigation into the crash in ongoing.
