Pedestrian in critical condition after being hit by truck

incident occurred just before 11 p.m. Monday; driver not ticketed

SAN ANTONIO – A pedestrian is in critical condition after being hit by a truck overnight, San Antonio police said Tuesday.

The incident occurred just before 11 p.m. Monday on the Interstate 10 access road near Wurzbach Road, on the city's Northwest Side.

Police said the man was running across the street from the Drury Inn to the Shell gas station when he was hit by the truck. The driver of the vehicle said he never saw the man. 

The victim was taken to University Hospital in critical condition with multiple injuries.

The driver was not ticketed.
