SAN ANTONIO – A driver crashed their vehicle into a Northeast Side barber shop early Thursday morning, San Antonio police said.
The crash was reported around 6 a.m. at the Walzem Barber Shop, found in the 5500 block of Walzem Road.
Police said the car jumped a curb in the parking lot out front of the strip center and crashed into the front of the building, smashing the entire front window and door.
The barber shop was not open at the time of the crash. The owner, Enrique Reyna, said it will probably stay that way for at least a few days until he can make repairs.
In addition to damaging the barber shop, a Mexican restaurant that shares a wall was also affected by the crash.
The restaurant however remains open.
We're also told the driver who caused the crash works at the restaurant and does have insurance.
