SAN ANTONIO – Three people were taken to the hospital early Sunday morning following a head-on collision.
According to San Antonio police, the driver of an SUV was headed northbound in the southbound lanes of the 16100 block of US Highway 281.
The driver crashed head-on with another vehicle, said police.
Two people in the SUV and one person in the car that was struck were taken to University Hospital.
Police said the wrong-way driver was air-lifted to University Hospital.
Police are investigating what caused the driver to go the wrong way on the highway.
