SAN ANTONIO – The Bexar County Medical Examiner's office has identified the name of the woman killed after being dragged by a tow truck taking her vehicle.
Natalie Servantes, 28, died Tuesday night at an apartment complex near Wurzbach Parkway.
Police said the woman had been running after the tow truck as it was exiting the apartment complex. Servantes was found later by police roughly a half mile away after being dragged, police said.
San Antonio police said a woman is dead after being dragged by a tow truck overnight.
The accident happened just after 10 p.m. Tuesday at an apartment complex near Wurzbach Parkway.
Police said they believe the woman began running after the tow truck as the truck exited her apartment complex with her vehicle.
The victim was eventually found deceased in the roadway nearly a half mile from the apartment complex, police said.
Police said there was no sign of the tow truck driver anywhere near the scene, but they did speak to a witness that saw the incident happen.
The name of victim has yet to be released.
The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
