3 killed in Maverick County crash

Head-on collision claims lives of 2 men, 1 woman

EAGLE PASS, Texas – A head-on collision in Maverick County Tuesday night left three people dead, the Eagle Pass Business Journal reported.

The crash was reported around 9 p.m. on U.S. Highway 57 South, a few miles north of the U.S. Border Patrol checkpoint.

The Maverick County Sheriff's Department reported that a white Chevrolet pickup and a Ford Fiesta collided head-on.

The two men in the pickup and the woman in the Fiesta were all killed in the crash, a sheriff's spokesman said.

All three people were from Eagle Pass. None of their names have been released.

The Eagle Pass Fire Department and EMS responded to the accident, and the Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating.
