SAN ANTONIO – A four-car crash Tuesday morning involving a police cruiser caused traffic headaches for commuters on the city's Northwest Side.
Police said the officer had slowed down around 7 a.m. to help a driver with a stalled vehicle on the side of the road near the Rim Shopping Center on Interstate 10 West at La Cantera Parkway when another car crashed into the cruiser. Two other cars crashed into the car that rear-ended the cruiser.
The officer and the driver who rear-ended the cruiser were taken to University Hospital with minor injuries.
Traffic on I-10 was reduced to one lane for about an hour.
