SAN ANTONIO – San Pedro Avenue between Quincy Avenue and Main Street will be closed beginning Monday until the summer for construction of a roundabout joining Main, Navarro Street and San Pedro, city officials said.
The Main, Navarro & San Pedro Roundabout Project includes full reconstruction of the current five-leg intersection of North Main Avenue, San Pedro, Camden Street and Navarro.

Reconstruction will include the creation of raised medians and 10-foot-shared-use paths to improve bicycle and pedestrian connectivity. The project will also create curbs, gutters, landscaping, pedestrian lighting, a public art component and the reconstruction of existing driveways.
The project is part of the 2012-2017 Bond Program Downtown Streets Reconstruction Project and will be followed by other lane closures on Main and Navarro. Main and Soledad Street are also currently under construction.
