I-37 N. reopens following chain-reaction crash

Interstate 37 North near Old Corpus Christi Road has reopened, San Antonio police said.

More than two dozen vehicles, including two 18-wheelers, were involved in a chain-reaction crash in thick fog Wednesday morning on Interstate 37 North near Highway 181 South.

Police said several people were injured, but information on the extent of their injuries was not immediately available.

The interstate is closed between Loop 1604 and Loop 410.

The thick fog posed a problem for drivers, police said.

Police urged drivers to slow down in the area or avoid it if possible.

We'll let you know when the interstate reopens.
