SAN ANTONIO – The exit ramp on eastbound Loop 410 at Interstate 35 on the city's Southwest Side has reopened following an 18-wheeler accident overnight, San Antonio police said.
The accident occurred around 11:30 p.m. Thursday.
Police said the driver of the 18-wheeler was taking the eastbound Loop 410 exit ramp at Interstate 35 when his load shifted, causing his big rig to turn onto its side. The trailer was carrying 45,000 pounds of pallets, police said.
The exit ramp was closed for much of the morning commute on Friday. The ramp has since reopened and traffic returned to normal sometime around 7:30 a.m.
No one was hurt in the accident.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
