Motorcyclist hospitalized after being dragged during crash

Accident occurred just before 11 p.m. on I-35 near Cevallos St

SAN ANTONIO – A motorcyclist is seriously hurt after getting dragged several feet during a crash, San Antonio police said Wednesday.

The accident occurred just before 11 p.m. Tuesday on south Interstate 35 near Cevallos Street.

Investigators said two motorcyclist were racing when a car cut one of them off. The motorcyclist lost control and hit a retaining wall, police said.

Officials said the motorcyclist was dragged for roughly 35 feet before ultimately ending up on the other side of the highway.

The driver that cut him off did not stop, police said.

The motorcyclist was taken to an area hospital in critical condition. His name is not currently known.

Police said the motorcyclist was wearing a helmet.
