Driver hospitalized after crashing into bus stop

Crash occurred just before 1 a.m. in 900 block of Culebra Rd

SAN ANTONIO – A driver was taken to the hospital after crashing their vehicle into a bus stop early Wednesday morning, San Antonio police said.

The crash occurred just before 1 a.m. in the 900 block of Culebra Road on the city's Northwest Side.

According to police, the driver was going eastbound on Culebra Road and lost control of their vehicle before cutting across traffic and hitting a bus bench on the side of the street.

The driver, a man in his 20s, was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center. His condition is not currently known.

No one else was hurt, police said.
