Driver killed after running stop sign in Wilson County, DPS says

Fatality reported Friday morning on State Highway 123

WILSON COUNTY, Texas – A driver was killed in a two-vehicle crash Friday morning in Wilson County.

Texas Department of Public Safety officials said the driver of a 2011 Toyota was traveling eastbound on FM 537 around 6:40 a.m. when it failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of State Highway 123.

Highway 90 to close at Loop 410 Friday night through Monday morning

A Ford pickup truck traveling southbound on the highway struck the Toyota, DPS officials said.  

The driver of the Toyota was pronounced dead at the scene, DPS officials said.

The driver of Ford pickup was transported to San Antonio Military Medical Center.
