Police search for driver responsible for hitting nine-year-old boy

Alfredo Gonzales was hit while walking on S. Navidad on Sept. 2

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Police Department and Crime Stoppers want the public’s assistance in tracking down the person responsible for a hit-and-run that injured a nine-year-old boy.

The incident occurred Saturday, Sept. 2 around 9:20 p.m. in the 2300 block of South Navidad, not far from Frio City Road on the Southwest Side.

According to police, Alfredo Gonzales was walking across South Navidad when he was struck by a black vehicle, likely a Ford Explorer or Expedition, traveling southbound.

After hitting Gonzales the driver sped off traveling westbound without stopping.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
