SAN ANTONIO – A hit-and-run accident has put a pedestrian in the hospital in critical condition, San Antonio police said Friday.
The accident happened just after 9 p.m. Thursday near O'Connor Road and Independence Avenue.
According to police the man was crossing the street when he was hit by a white Chevy pick-up truck.

Police said the driver did not stop and failed to render aid.
The victim was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center with multiple head injuries.
Police are still looking for the driver.
